Merry Merry CHRISTmas

Well another Christmas has passed and we are pooped!! It has been awhile since I have blogged and I wanted to make sure that I didn't leave anything out! This next picture is not for the faint of heart and might make you sicky! But it all went a little something like this.

Here is my dad's foot. Thanksgiving was spent in the hospital because of an infection he had. They didn't know what it was for the longest time and he just kept getting sicker and sicker and sicker. A few days before it was all brought on he had gotten a cortisone shot in his foot. They must have not cleaned his foot good enough or something because my poor father ended up with a VERY serious infection called MRSA in his ankle. He was SO sick and was in the hospital for 2 weeks and is still recovering at home. Here is a picture of his foot. It does not do the wound justice but this one is taken after surgury. I totally dig this kind of stuff so I am sorry if you don't but it truly tells the story of my poor dad and his fiery pain in his foot. When you get this infection they want the wound to stay open so that it can close slowly. He is still healing but doing much better and we are SO thankful and count our blessings that he is doing ok. We love our "Bompa" and were so sad to see him so sick. So, that kicked off our wonderful holiday season!

Here is Tatum and Nash visiting "Bompa" at the hospital (before we knew he had MRSA!!!!YIKES!)

Then there were Christmas lights with cousins!

Sera,Boston, Tatum, Alexa, Bitty Baby

My two favorite people in the whole world!!!

The family shot

Our beautiful girl in her Christmas dress by the Christmas tree!

And.......we didn't have anyone to take our picture before church and chances are that after church Tatum's hair would be all snarled and fishie crackers would be ground into her beautiful little outfit and so we just took pictures of each other with Tatum. Hey it is better than nothing at all!
We had our family Christmas party at Michael and Stacey's this year and it was great! They did the nativity scene. Tatum was a sheperd and is not facing the camera. She is the one in the corner with the grey cloak on. It was hilarious. They put white stockings on the babies heads so they would look like sheep? I don't know about that but it was pretty funny. They looked like tiny bank robbers.

Frankie and Krista and the rest of the family welcomed Beckom Scott into the family on December 16th. He weighed a tiny 5lbs and 8 oz and was almost 19 inches long 3 weeks early. He is awful cute!

The kids did a book exchange with each other. Great idea!! And I could not resist putting this picture of the Reed on here. He is Shane's sister Misty's little baby boy and he is just a cute smily boy and we just love him! This picture pretty much sums up how this little boy acts most of the time. He is just so happy.
Tatum was out in 3 seconds after we pulled away. Notice the horsie tucked under her arm that Grandma n Grandpa B gave her. Man is she obsessed with horses.

The bike she got from Santa

Good morning precious!

Oh! Aunt Megan is helping her ride her new bike around the house.

Nash T Boy got a new chair.

This is the slick new coat that we got my dad for Christmas. He won't take it off!!

Some of the Christmas bunch

And of course the horsie that Tatum got from my parents. She was in HOG heaven until...........................................

Chuck brought in this little beauty. Let's just say I have never ever seen her jump so high. Oh she still loves her other horse just the same but this one happened to be pink. This girl is on horse overload. The funny thing is, she has a lot of horsie toys, but she does play with them all. I love it and think it is such a funny obsession for her to have.

We went to see Chase and this is an adorable picture of them playing basketball on a rainy Christmas day. What a blast!

We had such a good Christmas. The best Christmas ever. We are so thankful for this special time of year that we were able to celebrate the birth of our Savior. We made it a point this year to try and focus on it more. I can tell you that I had some wonderful experiences as I remembered Jesus Christ this Christmas season. Here comes 2009!!!! Hold on!
