A trip to Hawaii!!

This last week Shane,Tatum and I went with my parents to take my little sister Megan to BYU Hawaii.We had loads of fun I don't even know where to begin.It is so pretty in Oahu.We stayed in this little beach rental on North Shore right across the street to Sharks Cove(the best place I have snorkeled ever...so far)Also right around the corner was Waimaia Bay.We were able to ride the beach cruisers everywhere.SOOO FUN!This post is really long and I didn't even get to post all the pictures I wanted because some of them are on my mom's camera but I got some good highlights of the trip.

The plane ride over was just fine with Tatum.She was pretty darn good with very few fits.Shane and I were surprised that she did so awesome.She slept,put on lipgloss for about 30 minutes(really!),watched a movie, and ate her favorite thing in the world...Cheetos.She kept saying..."wen non a plane to Hawaii!"

Ok.This was hysterical.I bought Tatum this suitcase and packed her a purse for the plane ride.These things were jamb packed with treasures I found for her that she loves...a little horse,polly pockets,5 lipglosses,a mini puppy,littlest pet shop toys,tic tacs,gum,cheetos,candy,coloring books,stickers,dvd player...the works.She would not let go of these two precious packages.Plus you know that suitcase is just so fun to wheel around.If you you Honolulu's airport you know it is the longest walk ever to get your luggage.She wouldn't let us touch her things and was soooooooooo slow...Shane was so mad at me for getting her that suitcase.I was just laughing and took lots of pictures.Eventually Shane did get a hold of that pink suitcase towards the end of the airport and so I took a picture.He looked so cute with it.

OH!I just had to take this shot so I would remember the view.When I am having a hard day i can go straight back to this happy place in my head.

We went to Hukilau beach with our cousins(Natalie and Ritchie's boys)They are our second cousins and boy did we have fun with them.There is Cardon(with his tounge out)Raleigh is almost five and Lincoln is the baby bum.He is so sweet I wish I had a better picture.Those boys are so wild and fun Tatum had such a blast with them doing boy stuff.Cardon showed Tatum how to pick up a cockroach. Gross I know.See the videao at the bottom..it is pretty funny I think!

We told Cardon to hold on to Tatum so we could take a picture and so he grabbed her bum.Priceless photo!

The highlight of the trip for me was when we went to the sea life park.My dad and I went swimming with dolphins....a life long dream of mine.SOOO stinking fun!I wish I had more pictures but they wouldn't let us take any because they wanted us to buy the ones tha they took.So take a moment and imagine me riding on a dolphin.........kissing a dolphin and swimming with them.

Ok this is the coolest tree ever.We went to a secluded beach/bay by Turtle bay and later found out that they filmed an episode of Lost right where we were standing.Cool huh!!The trees were huge and so beautiful.Unlike anything I have ever seen(well except the last time I went to Hawaii to visit my friend Lydia)

Here we are at Sharks Cove.Tatum was scared of the waves and the water until this picture when I handed her a net and said do you want to catch a fish?She warmed up and decided it was ok if she was going to try to "cat a phishh"

Tatum is scared of waves and so here she is at the beach...hiking up to "go home" because there was HUGE scary waves at this beach.My daredevil dad decided he would go snorkeling in this turbulent water and so I took his picture next to the warning signs they put up.He didn't want Shane or I to go in with him because it is too dangerous and he is really a pro..you know?

Our trip had to come to an end.Before we wet to the airport, we ate and the now famous Hukilau Cafe(from 50 first dates)best banana pancakes ever... and then Gagon and Cholly took Tatum to their studio apartment while we paid the bill(those silly sidewalkers!!!).Here they are swinging her as they walk.We really had such a good time and will miss Megan a lot.She will be home in 4 1/2 months.We love Megan so much!

Picking up the cockroach..ewww sick.I actually didn't know what it was until after I had filmed this.I about died when someone said that the bug they were playing with was a form of cockroach.Oh and should I mention Tatum wouldn't get near a bug until she encountered this one.Too funny!Maybe her cousins could teach her to eat vegetables?

Tucson and a backyard photo shoot!

This week we got the chance to go and spend a couple of days at my sister Allie's house in Tucson. We had a blast hanging with "BOY" and were VerY VerY busy the whole time.Some of the things that Tatum did in 48 hours at Allies house............

1.smeared the mirrors with toothpaste or soap(multiple times)2.flushed a bar of soap down the toilet3.Broke a glass4.Got gum on the carpet5.Peed on the carpet(intentionally)6.Peanut butter finger paints on the dryer7.Stripped for the missionaries my sister made dinner for(although I caught her before she ran into the room where they were)ummm I could go on.....Tatum is a fun very busy girl.I think she ran a total of 5 miles in the house and was nonstop.I love every minute of it and count my blessings that she is happy and healthy and likes to make a good mess.Here are some fun pictures of our few days.......

    This picture is priceless!!Nash is getting soooo big and drowns Tatum.He is nicknamed "BIG BOY" He is just perfect and sweet in every way. He is so funny everytime he sees me.................. he dances.I taught him how to "shake" it and now he thinks that is how he and I greet each other.This trip he learned to say NO(probly from Tatum....oops).SOOOOO funny for us but soooo sad for my sister.I think she would rather him say yes or mommy more often.He actually says "dho!!!"It is the cutest thing...not as cute as his sweet dance moves but pretty dang cute.We love Nashers SO much.

Sharpie BE GONE!!

OK.So many of you who have read my posts about Tatum and her marker fetish,know how much she likes to color on things and herself.Believe me there is a lot more things that she has colored on that I have not posted about....it would get really repetitive.Here is a classic Tatum.I left the room for 20 seconds.REALLY only 20 seconds.She had stashed a brown sharpie and when I left the room immediately went for the computer.This was all that she did thank goodness(well besides the entire screen)Our computer is new so of course I was frustrated with her but I don't have to get mad because of dun dun nuh.....Amodex!This stuff Shane bought online because we just really have had marker problems in our house.This stuff works like a dream.(for those of you who are thinking...duh Shell put the markers away...done that she can climb and always finds them "somewhere" I didn't think I had any)She is so funny.

General Conference

It is conference time again and I am so excited.Excited to hear from President Monson,our newly sustained prophet,excited to hear what conference has for me to help me better myself,excited to feel the spirit so strong when I hear our sweet prophet tell us what we need to hear...straight from our Heavenly Father.Happy conference weekend everyone!!!

Easter & Its hot mommy!

We went to Tucson for the first part of the weekend and had some pre-lessons swim fun.Heated pool and the weather was soooo nice!Star Pass has a really nice pool.Tatum even participated in a"bunny hop contest" and did pretty good.Thanks Matt and Allie for a fun weekend.

When she came out to see what the Easter bunny left she said "oohhhhhh coool!"It was cute.

The Easter bunny is so nice.He got her an outfit,101 dalmations and loads of candy and little toys.Too much for a two year old.We are gonna write the Easter bunny and tell him we don't need that much next year.

UH OH!Tatum's first sunburn.(Crystal C. this one is for you)I am usually so good about sunscreen seeing as though we are all so pasty white and always in the water.Today not so much.We were at the park for two hours for playgroup and voila!Sunburn.She keeps saying "it's hot mommy!"I guess it is definately time to get back in our good habit of sunscreen and hats.Poor baby and bad parenting check for me.It is funny becasue I looked at a friends blog the other day and her kids had gotten sunburned.I thought to myself awww man those kids are sooo burned!HA for me.So since Tatum got burned pretty bad today(poor baby)I thought I would blog about it and tell my good ol' friend she is not alone!

All BETTER!

Since Sunday Tatum has been VERY sick.The doctors say she had Gastroenteritis...whatever.She didn't move,flinch,eat,NADA!All she did was sleep and Shane and I were kinda worried about her because if you know our Tatum you know that she is a bit of a curious girl who likes to get into things and be wild!After two emargency room trips for fluid and a doctors visit(who wanted to admit her into the hospital.I convinced her to let us wait one more day)This morning she was 100%better like nothing had ever happend.She woke up...ate "FUffet"(breakfast)and ran around like it was no ones business.We are so glad that she is back to normal but I am gonna kill her if she doesn't stop wasting toothpaste!I just love her so much and don't know what we would do if Tatum was really ill.I count my blessings everytime I see her and that she is healthy,normal and beautiful.I wouldn't have my curious Tatum any other way!She is so funny and keeps life so interesting.

SO sick.

Well here is our sweet Tatum girl and she is sicker than ever.They don't know what is wrong with her.She started throwing up at 5:45am Sunday morning and pretty much been sick since then.We are keeping a watchful eye on our sweetheart and hope that she will get better soon.Hopefully tomorrow she will be back to her old self.We will see but for now this picture sums up how she feels:(

SWIMMING LESSONS!!!!

OK! I know I need to update my blog and that it is sooooo time for a new post but I have nothing to really post about.Everything is kinda boring right now.It is about to get really exciting and CRAZY!As some of you know.....I teach swimming lessons and I LOVE IT! OK so I have been having second thoughts on the private blog thing.I am so sad when I am blog walkin and there is a private blog of a friend who I know wouldn't care a bit if I looked at their blog and I am not on their list!I don't want anyone to feel that way about my blog either.So I don't know if I want my blog private anymore...............Sooooo with that said...anyone who is not scary at all who wants to blog hop to my blog anytime    ANYONE!!Don't be afraid!! Just an update!

Okay so I feel like I haven't posted anything interesting in the last month and a half .Nothing interesting has happened really besides Tatum beeing cute,funny and getting into trouble...so here are just little tidbits of information and a few of the things we have done in the last little while that I actually have pictures of....

This picture up above just makes me laugh.It captures Tatum's personality in a nutshell.Such a cute,funny girl.This is her new Cheese face.

This is Tatum's best friend."Yammaw" is such a fun person and Tatum thinks she needs to spend every waking moment with her.She asks for her everyday at least three times.I love it!

Below is our latest trip to the zoo.Tatum LOVES the monkeys. Awhile back when Tatum was just a tiny baby our neighbor gave her these fun pink sunglasses that I put away and forgot about.I found them just before we left for the zoo and she wouldn't take them off...until BEDTIME!It was funny cause she isn't really a sunglasses kid.Apparantly these ones did the trick and I think she looks very cute in them.

We took Tatum to build a bear and now she has this cute little bunny called Crazy.She likes to sleep with Crazy every night.In Tatum's words......"zee zee"Shane and I named the bunny cause that is how she was acting when we were trying to name the bunny on the computer at the store

Up above we have a late night (8:00) Oreo cookie ice cream sandwich run to the gas station.This is what she looked like when we got home.She is tired!!
And we have been able to get sponge curlers into Tatums hair*(well kind of!!!)She is so cute and has us laughing on a daily basis with the things she says and does.She is our JOY!!!We are in love with her!

Today highlights

Well here are todays events...I hope these don't get old but I just really wanted to emphasize Tatums two favorite things....Toothpaste and Markers.She is so funny.I love this little girl she keeps me on my toes but also keeps me laughing all day.i did give her the markers this time but I gave them to her in her high chair.I should have known she would color on herself.She hasn't colored on her face yet and so I thought it was cute.I won't be giving her markers anymore!
