Happy Birthday Shane!!!

Today is Shane's 31st birthday and so here is Shane's birthday post!

I just want everyone that reads my blog to know that I love this guy. (EWWW gush gush......... sorry) He is the most genuine, kind, sweet, laid back kind of guy. Everyone loves "Scooter". I love that his friends still call him that. He got that nickname from being so fast in high school playing football. When Shane gets goofy he is so cute...that is one of the many things that drew me to him. Shane is the funnest daddy and I love it when I see his face light up when Tatum does something cute for him. I love it when Shane sings at the top of his lungs.......it makes me laugh especially when he says "I could be a singer if I wanted to huh babe!?"He can rap any old school rap song you have ever heard. I dare you to test him. He is good at anything that requires coordination. He is a snowboarding maniac and wishes we could go more. He is my little skater man...he can still skate and it is fun to watch him...he says that he "sucks"but I think that he is wonderful. He works so hard and supports us very well and I really repect that. He gets me and I get him. Shane and I have lots of fun together and I am glad to call him my best friend. I always say that eternity is not long enough to spend with him. I need more time. Babe......I got you babe! I love you. Happy birthday Shane!!!!

Well today is a very bittersweet day. My beautiful grandma passed away at 82 this afternoon. She was so special to me. I remember when I was little how fun it was to go over to her house. I remember her bright cheery voice would sing "Hi Shelley! How are ya?" and whenever I would ask for something she would say "Well sure!" She would let us cut roses from the back fence. She had blackberries growing on the side of the fence. Mmmmm! She was a beautician so she always got us mini lipstick samples. Those were the BEST! She would paint our nails and make us good food in the kitchen....she was a great cook. I remember the mini blue wavy cups we grandkids would drink milk out of and have our oreos in the kitchen. The spend the nights and the huge bathtub baths. Her blue toilet and the hair dryer in the spare room and many more things. I have always looked to her good example as a wonderful missionary, she was a wonderful mother, wife and grandmother. Her spiritual strength helped my testimony to grow tremendously throughout my life. I admire the way she loved my grandpa. It was hard to see him lose her. Real hard. My grandpa has always had a special place in my heart and to see him sad like that is down right traumatizing. I wish I could take it all away. He will get better. Time will make things easier. He will have us. We will have each other. Love you grandma. Hope that I can pay a good enough tribute to you when I sing at your funeral in a couple days. A life like yours deserves one heck of a musical number. I hope I can do that job.

Christmas Eve!

This is me and my little cousin Jenna Lee.She has the most amazing voice ever.My sisters and I were supposed to sing what child is this at the annual Hatch family Christmas party and when they announced that we were supposed to go up there...they chickened out.They SUCK and are on my black checklist!Jenna didn't have time to get a piece together and really was bummed about that and so when my sisters wouldn't get up she said from the back of the room in a little voice "I want to sing!"So up she came and we sang.She kicked my butt at singing but I think that we sounded pretty good together.Jenna is Awesome!

These cute Breinholt cousins have so much fun together.They are spinning around getting "dizzy".I had to take these because they were laughing so hard and having so much fun.

We went to a get together at the Turley's house and Santa came and gave all the kids presents.This Santa FREAKED her out.It was so funny because she usually runs to Santa.It was the fake beard.

Tatum and I went to visit Nash or as Tatum calls him"BIG boy" while my mom was tending him in Tucson.My sister and brother in law went on a cruise. Must be nice.We had tons of fun just playing with him.He is a crack up and too cute to boot.

So busy trying to make Christmas "perfect" that I forgot to put my precious girl to bed.Sorry Tatum!!!!!(Elmo must really like what he is watching on TV)

Last Chance shopping with Emily and Carly.You can't see it but we have three shopping carts FULL in that little elevator.Christmas shopping with these two was SOOOOO fun!Lets do it again. How about Jan 2nd girls?

The face of wildness!

First off I would like to say Merry Christmas to everyone(a day late) and that oh my......I can't believe it has been almost a month since I have blogged.We have had a crazy month and blogging although kinda fun...I guess it isn't my no 1 priority. We had such a great Christmas this year. Now that Tatum is two she can more or less understand a little bit about Christmas and we had fun teaching her about it this year. Of course we taught her the true meaning of Christmas but we couldn't resist the whole Santa thing.SHE LOVES SANTA.It was fun bringing her out on Christmas morning to see her eyes bug out when she saw that Santa had brought her.... an Artic Cat power wheels.COOL!It is hilarious to see her drive it.She has learned to reverse it. She can be a quick whit when she wants to be. We hope that all of you had wonderful Christmas's too.Thanks for reading this! Above are some fun holiday...month of December highlight pictures.

Well we had such a fun night last night.It was my friend Britani's little girls 2nd birthday party and Tatum had thought she had died and gone to heaven there was so much party fun with her friends.She loved playing in Brindli's new birthday tent.She always has fun playing with those girls.Thanks Brit for such a great time.We will be back for more fun another day I am sure..Daddy went to the game and so when we got home we got in our jammies and went Christmas shopping at Target.The last pictures of us are the ones we took when we got home.Tatum found the tape and loves to tape her mouth closed(my mom showed her how)and so we had some fun with it.Tatum is getting to be so fun to be with.

Thanksgiving

Sitting with Nash or as Tatum calls him...." Big BOYEE"because he is a big boy.He is 9 months old and 95% for height and weight.HE LOVES FOOD. One day at the cabin my sister Megan had just gotten herself some yummy breakfast casserole and walked by my mom who was holding Nash and BAM!He slapped his hand of her plate,grabbed all that he could and sooo quickly put it in his mouth.It was lightning fast like a crook who knew what he was doing.It was funny.

We had a fun Thanksgiving this year.It was so quick I regret to say I didn't stop for a second to think of all the things I am thankful for.Let me take a minute right now........................................................................K!I am Thankful for EVERYTHING!I wish I had more pictures of our crazy Thanksgiving!We started off the day early...Shane went to play some "professional" turkey bowl football and I went to run the Turkey trot with Jami Jasper Edwards and Lindsey Wilcox Walker.We did have a GREAT time.I just love those girls.We are so silly for not taking a picture.Next year ladies!Next year.My freaking toenail is going to come off now because of my ill-fitting shoes I wore to the turkey trot.It hurts soooo bad and keeps getting infected.OK!Enough of that.We ate at my parents house and everything was delicious.After dinner we went to Las Sendas to take some family pictures.Annie Randall was our photographer and let me tell you she did a fantastic job and even got Tatum to smile.A feat in itself.... if any of you know my daughter may know that she has something called"camera disease"It is when you look away from the camera when everyone tells you to say CHEESE!They say that she will probly grow out of this.I sure hope so.If you want to see her blog or get you pictures done by her you can go to http://www.annieandgunner.blogspot.com/ and you should be able to contact her.She is so cute and has really great rates.She is gonna photograph Chunky Monkey's new stuff so check it out in a couple of weeks!After we got our pictures taken we tried to head off to the Glauser's cabin....but my dad accidentally took my mothers keys to the game with him and so goes the drama of going home and looking for the spare set,packing up the car and eventually going all the way to ASU to get the set that my dad took with him.Oh and did I mention we had to go all the way back to Las Sendas to get the car before we could head out?Bunch a hoopla. We ended up having so much fun at the cabin and so it was all worth it in the end.I will post cute pictures when I am able to plug in my camera.

Growing up so fast!

Okay so Shane and I have switched Tatum to a toddler bed.I totally would have kept her in a crib but she was falling out while trying to scale the top.Today is the first day and last night she slept fine.I need some tips on NAPS!She won't go to sleep.I thought maybe I should blog this for advice and someone nice will give me the perfect tip to keep her napping.Thanks!

Pee pee diaper

Sometimes before bed Shane and I like to tease each other and goof off.It is so much fun.......usually.Well last night we had just gotten into bed and we started goofing off by throwing a rolled up pee pee diaper.I threw it at him and he threw it at me...it was funny until.......I decided to unwrap it and throw it.The top of the diaper broke. It was slow motion, silent and then there were pee crystals all over Shanes head and mouth like it had dumped yellow snow and he had just gotten out of the shower.(ewww sick.I never saw how bad it was until I turned on the lights.)Here is the part where I look like a total shmuck.I could not stop laughing.I probly laughed for about ten minutes straight.I laughed even when my totally laid back,mostly sweet husband was cussing me out.I laughed the whole time he was in the shower.I tried to stop but every time I did a replay in my head I would start to laugh hysterically again.Something is definately wrong with me.I am greatful that I didn't have to sleep on the couch.I really do feel bad and so I think I need to redeem myself today.I think I am gonna go and buy him a pair of new jeans.Poor Shane has to put up with me and my immaturity.Sorry Shane,that was really mean and gross and so I am punishing myself by posting this rediculous picture of myself.

OK!We have officially hit terrible twos.

Today I have been chasing her butt naked with a marker in her hand, plugging my ears with the screaming tantrums, scrubbing whatever she has actually colored on,fishing rocks out of her mouth, cleaning up the paper clips and fishies she decided to ground into the carpet, and picking up the food she dumped on the floor for the 70th time.There's definately more but my head is spinning I can't remember it all!She reminds me of the tazmainian devil.( I had to put her in her crib so I could post this) and as I am sitting here she is laughing hysterically.AT WHAT?It's like she can make a mess in a nanosecond and then she is off to the next one.Energy,.........she is full of it.I feel like pulling out my hair.

This is a post for my sister Megan.She is such a cool aunt.Last night she came over for dinner and Tatum had such an awesome time.I don't think I have ever heard Tatum laugh so hard.Megan played with her all night and then after dinner just took her and gave her a bath without me asking:) 1000 sister points for you Meg!(I need to update my pictures.This is the best one I had on this computer so my awesome dad is in it too;))

Ok.Tatum is not old enough for this one:) She was walking past a mirror and ever so slowly turned and checked out her bum.Hmmmm.It looked exactly like me on any given day.(you know you ALL do it!)COME ON!I had no idea she watched me that closely.Anyways I thought it was funny and thought I would share.

Happy Halloween!!

Halloween was so fun this year!Tatum was Dorothy(I made hair extention clips for her pigtails) and Toby was 'To To".Shane and I were gonna dress up but we ran out of time to get a costume.Oh well...next year.This year we wnt to my parents block/ward party and Tatum had a blast.We ate hot dogs and this super yummy chicken chile.Whoever made that..I want that recipe.We went to my sweet grandma's house and then went trick or treating!Tatum was funny.Once she figured out that every house she went to would give her candy she didn't want to stop trick or treating.She would have gone all night if we would have let her.People would give her candy,she would put it in her bucket and then hold out her hand for more.She scored so good on the candy because who can say no to that?She always said trick or treat and thank you.It was a hoot for Shane and I.Tonight I found myself feeling so greatful for the cute little family that I have.It is really getting to be fun having a 2 year old.Shane and I are really lucky.

Here is my amazing Grandma.She made Tatum's Dorothy costume and as you can tell Tatum loves her very, very much.She is the best Grandma in the whole world.I love her more than anything in the whole world.Thanks Grandma!!!You are the best.

Okay.Tatum doesn't like the camera.Tonight she was not cooperating(nor does she ever,just look at most of the posts) when we said look at the camera,she put her head down and looked away.It was annoying.So...I threatened her.TIME OUT!So she automatically raises her head and makes this face directly at the camera(I was a little late in capturing that precise moment but I was close)You see my dad laughing at her because she is such a stinker.He says it is payback for what a stubborn stinker I was.
